Struggling with station 3 low house in American Skeet - my timing feels off
Been shooting American Skeet for about 2 years now with my Beretta A400 Xcel. I'm consistently missing the low house bird on station 3, especially when it's a single. I'm using a Skeet choke and 1 oz of #9 shot at 1200 fps. My hold point is just below the window, but I feel like I'm either rushing the shot or waiting too long.

Station 3 low house is tricky because it's that awkward angle where the target's already starting to drop. Try moving your hold point out a bit - I like to put it about a foot outside the low house window, right where you first see the bird clearly. That gives you a better visual pickup and a little more time to establish your lead. For that target, I think of it as a 'maintain' lead rather than a 'swing through' - maybe 1-2 feet depending on your swing speed. What's your gun mount like on that station? Sometimes a smoother mount can help with the timing.
