Just started American Skeet - where should I hold my gun at Station 1?

Hey all, brand new to this. Just shot my first round of American Skeet last weekend and got smoked on Station 1. I have a Beretta A300 Outlander with a Skeet choke in it. I was holding where I thought the high house bird would come out, but I kept missing behind. Using Federal Top Gun 2¾" 1⅛oz #9 shot. Any tips for a proper hold point?

Welcome to the addiction! Station 1's high house bird is tricky for everyone at first. Try holding your muzzle about a foot below the high house window - that gives you a better visual on the target as it appears and helps with the initial upward swing. With that A300 and Skeet choke, you've got a great setup for the game. Your load is perfect too - #9s at around 1200fps is the sweet spot. Once you get that hold point down, the lead will feel more natural. What's your gun mount like - are you getting it up to your face before calling for the bird?
