Sold firearms under J.C. Higgins brand (1908-1962) made by High Standard, Stevens/Savage, Marlin, Winchester, Mossberg, Ithaca, H&R, and foreign makers. Replaced with Ted Williams brand (1962-1968) manufactured by High Standard and Winchester. Stopped selling firearms in 1968 following Gun Control Act. Not a manufacturer but retailer/distributor.
