History

Charles Parker established shop in Meriden, CT in 1832 for hardware/household goods. Sons Wilber and Dexter formed Parker Brothers for shotguns in 1867. Acquired by Remington in 1934. Production moved from Meriden to Ilion, NY in 1938. Line discontinued 1942 after 243,000 guns produced. Widely considered finest American shotgun.
