History
Founded in 1953 by Samuel Cummings in Alexandria, Virginia. Initially CIA-owned until Cummings bought out CIA interest in 1958. Operated from 10 warehouses along South Union Street waterfront. Greatly affected by 1968 Gun Control Act restricting surplus imports. Dissolved less than two years after Cummings died in 1998.
