Japanese fishing tackle manufacturer that briefly produced shotguns in the early 1970s before returning to their core business.
History
Founded in 1955 by engineer Yoshio Matsui as a fishing equipment company (now Globeride, Inc.). In 1971, marketed shotguns manufactured by Singer Nikko Co Ltd in the U.S. Only about 500 Daiwa shotguns were produced before discontinuing the line to focus on fishing tackle.
