British firearms manufacturer founded in Birmingham's Gun Quarter, known for military and sporting arms, motorcycles, and bicycles.
History
Founded in June 1861 by fourteen gunsmiths in Birmingham to manufacture guns by machinery. Entered the sporting gun field after WWI with shotguns and sporting rifles. Original shotgun production ceased during WWII when the production line was destroyed. BSA Guns was liquidated in 1986 and reformed as BSA Guns (UK) Ltd, continuing to produce air rifles and shotguns.
