History
Founded in 1870-1872 by John Mahlon Marlin in New Haven, Connecticut after working at Colt during Civil War. Started own business 1863, formally incorporated as Marlin Fire Arms Company in 1872. Produced lever-action rifles, pump shotguns, single-shots. Moved to Ilion, NY and Mayfield, KY in 2010. Acquired by Ruger in 2020.
