History

Established in 1996 in Kearneysville, West Virginia, Kent Cartridge manufactures a wide range of shotgun shells at their American factory. Kent holds the patent on Tungsten Matrix shot and pioneered non-toxic ammunition technology. In 2016, Kent introduced a line of Premium Bismuth shotshells featuring non-toxic material with 24% greater density than steel. Kent has a sister company in the UK (Gamebore Cartridge Company) that manufactures proprietary shot including Bismuth, Tungsten Matrix, and premium Diamond Shot. Kent also operates a sales/distribution office in Ontario, Canada. The company's custom blended, double-based smokeless powders are specifically designed to maximize performance in North American temperature extremes, setting industry standards for waterfowl hunting. Kent's employees are hunters, clay shooters, and dog trainers who proudly shoot the ammunition they produce.
