Italian manufacturer of handcrafted shotguns from Val Trompia, Brescia founded by Luciano Rota and wife Fausti Maria, specializing in complete weapon customization.
History
R.F.M. Armi born in 1957 in Val Trompia, beating heart of province of Brescia where strongest production tradition is construction of hunting and shooting weapons. Luciano Rota born 1935, founded firearms production business in 1957 with precious collaboration of wife Fausti Maria, also daughter of gunsmiths. Began studies at trade school in Brescia where young people, mostly children of World War II, trained in manual skills. Initially passion turned to wood part of shotgun, specialized in manufacturing of stocks. For several years offered valuable skillset to both hunters and expert shooters. Interest in weapons so great developed idea to construct first rifle in 1957. During Italian economic boom between late 1950s and early 1960s Luciano expanded offerings abroad by exporting around 20,000 guns a year to many different countries. With introduction of son-in-law Maurizio Bertolassi production became more refined and specialized in firearm's complete customization.
