History

Founded in 1887 in Syracuse by brothers William H. and Ellis L. Baker. After a factory fire in 1889, they moved to Batavia, New York. William died that year, and Ellis ran the company until selling it to H. & D. Folsom Arms Company on December 24, 1919. Folsom continued production in Norwich, Connecticut until 1930.
