History
Alexander Henry (1818-1894) established his business in Edinburgh in 1852. Invented the famous Henry rifling system in 1860 which was adopted for the British Army's Martini-Henry rifle. The business was sold by his sons after his death and eventually acquired by John Dickson & Son in 1960.
