France's first and oldest arms manufacturer from Saint-Étienne, operated uninterruptedly by six generations of Verney-Carron family, producing shotguns, rifles, and defense products.
History
Established in 1820 in Saint-Étienne by Claude Verney (1800-1870) and wife Antoinette Carron. Claude from family of gunsmiths since 1650, won first prize in armory competition age 20. Remained family-owned through six generations. Declared insolvency February 11, 2025, authorized receivership February 13, 2025. RSBC Czech investment group acquired strategic stake.
