1/19/2017 ThursdayThis was my first time here. It had been raining for a week to 10 days and you could tell by all the standing water. Gunsmoke had changed to a membership only club with yearly and daily membership of $12 for a year and $1 a day. The staff was friendly and helpful. They did inform me that rain and water had closed some of the sporting clays stations and they also informed me of a shortage of clays so some of the station would only have one thrower. So with that in mind I was very happy to go shoot. Normally their sporting clays course has 10 to 15 station, on this day it was set with 10 stations. Of the 10 only 7 were open and of the 7 only 3 had two throwers. The course is along a gravel road with brush on one side and a plowed field on the other. A couple of the stations had elevated throwers and one station had a trampoline the clays bounced against. You walk down the road with stations on the right and left. The gravel road was nice and well maintained. Over all I had a good time and I look forward to going back on my next visit to Aggieland.
